Job Summary
Assist servers and hosts in serving food and beverages, managing water service levels, and clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables to company sanitation standards. Transport dirty tableware to the dish drop area, maintain stocked stations with necessary equipment, and ensure the dining room, waiting, and service areas remain clean and visually appealing. Respond immediately to guest service issues, conduct special cleaning projects, and maintain professional communication with all co-workers and supervisors. Requires ability to walk and stand for eight hours, lift up to 40lbs, and wear closed-toe non-skid shoes.
Required Qualifications
- Previous restaurant serving and/or customer service experience
- Ability to walk and stand throughout an eight-hour shift
- Ability to lift, balance and carry large, oval dining room service trays
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 40lbs
- Closed toe, non-canvas and non-skid soled shoes
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual in a complete uniform for any scheduled shift
- Knowledgeable of basic sanitation
- Knowledgeable of computer operations and ordering procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly: service procedures, menus, and dining room floor plan, register operation
