Job Summary
Set up bus stations, greet guests with bread and water service, and replenish food and beverages while clearing courses and removing dishes from tables, bars, and bus stations. Assist servers in delivering food and beverages, prepare dishes for washing by scraping and stacking them, and clean spilled food and drink. Maintain adequate stock of clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays, polish silverware, and wash glasses and serving equipment in the bar area. Keep restrooms, foyer, and entrances clean, prepare coffee and tea, and complete special assignments. This entry-level role provides fundamental training and experience to support the Main Dining Room, New Brewery, Rock House Restaurant, and banquet culinary needs at the Dillard House Farm Resort.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Service: Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet multiple guests' needs at high quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction without projecting a mood that detracts from guests' experience.
- Communication: Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with guests, vendors, coworkers and management.
- Interpersonal Relationships: Must adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus.
- Problem Solving and Conflict Management: Must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure.
- Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Assess the value and importance of customer needs to maintain a high standard of quality.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
