Job Summary
Set tables and chairs, refill beverages, and deliver food orders while maintaining dining area cleanliness and sanitation standards. Prepare coffee, iced tea, and hot water; restock side stations with tableware, flatware, and condiments; and reset tables with fresh linens according to meal periods. Greet seated guests, pour water, and assist servers during busy periods by serving food and beverages. Transport materials, empty food carts, and manage linen collection and return to laundry. Maintain adequate supplies and adhere to hospitality standards including eye contact and polite conversation. Work in a hot or cold environment, lifting up to 50 lbs, with flexibility to adapt to changing clientele and perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance are required.
- Positive, upbeat personality/attitude.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and other team members.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Regularly required to stand and walk for a prolonged period of time, transport materials or equipment, and lifting, moving, or carrying heavy objects over 30 lbs.
- Occasionally lifting, moving, or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity to grasp, handle, feel, reach, extending arms overhead, etc.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, etc.
- Frequently exposed to elevated noise levels.
- Must be capable of working effectively in both a hot and cold extreme temperature environment. Work surfaces may be unlevel, slippery, or unstable.
