Server Assistant (AM) - Bar George

Server Assistants support servers by inspecting all tables for proper mise en place, cleanliness and completeness. They practice a high level of floor awareness and have exceptional knowledge of all food and beverage items. Server Assistants help with food running as well as monitor food quality to ensure presentation standards. Daily duties include answering guest questions about dishes, beverages, wines and other restaurant services; assisting with food service; maintaining cleanliness of your section; coordinating with servers and hosts to optimize seating; staying alert on the floor; ensuring condiments are prepped and fridges stocked; following food safety procedures; managing waste and recycling; relaying guest comments to servers; and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires 6 months to 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, fluency in English and French, detail orientation, calm efficiency in a fast-paced setting, ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks, excellent verbal communication, solid product knowledge, high efficiency, and availability for full-time morning shifts with weekend/holiday availability. Legal eligible to work in Canada.
