Job Summary
Support residents' health and well-being by assisting with meal preparation and service, ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant dining experience daily. Utilize the Ready, Set, Serve Program to handle table setting, serving, and cleaning while preparing food under the Chef's direction. Maintain established sanitation standards and promote a la carte and wine sales in accordance with prescribed procedures. Comply with provincial regulations, ORCA standards, and emergency drills to ensure the department remains tour-ready. Requires one year of dining room service experience, Serving It Right and Food Safe certificates, and the ability to work with seniors in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in dining room service
- Must have the Serving It Right certificate, or willing to obtain within 30 days of start date
- Must have the Food Safe certificate, or willing to obtain within 30 days of start date
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
- Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset
