Job Summary
Support residents' health and well-being by assisting with meal preparation and service, ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant dining experience. Utilize the Ready, Set, Serve Program for table setting, serving, and cleaning while preparing food under the Chef's direction. Maintain established sanitation standards, track a la carte and wine sales, and comply with provincial regulations and ORCA standards. Participate in emergency drills and education sessions, and work in accordance with Health and Safety Policies. This role requires the Smart Serve or Serve It Right designation, one year of dining service experience, and effective communication skills. You will work biweekly 36 hours at $18.08 in Douglas Crossing, Uxbridge, serving Canada's seniors with dignity.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the Smart Serve designation OR Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan locations)
- one year experience in dining room service
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
- Safe Food Handling Certification preferred
- Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset
- Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
Desired Qualifications
