Job Summary
Take customer food and drink orders, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments while escorting guests to tables and setting up or clearing them. Operate the cash register, verify patron identification for alcohol compliance, and maintain a warm, friendly, and professional service standard. Clear and reset tables as needed, familiarize yourself with the restaurant and lounge layout, and master the menu and specials. Perform opening and closing procedures, manage station rotations, and ensure side stands remain stocked and tidy. Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and maintain required certifications including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers. Work seasonal rooftop shifts from April to October in Chicago's Theater District.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Food Handlers certification
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
