Job Summary
Create a positive guest experience by answering questions about food, beverages, and wine while utilizing seat-specific ordering to prevent food auctions. Be knowledgeable of all menu items to provide recommendations and ensure accuracy when entering information into the POS system. Monitor food quality, presentation standards, and section cleanliness, while adhering to food safety protocols and addressing special requests such as allergies. Respond promptly to guest concerns and complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently. This role requires availability Thursday through Sunday and is part of a team delivering refined dining at one of Toronto's most iconic venues.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of serving experience in a similar environment
- Valid Smart Serve Certification
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to drive sales
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High level of food and beverage product knowledge
- Ability to maintain professional urgency and momentum throughout shifts
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- This position requires to be available from Thursday to Sunday
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
