Job Summary
Take customer food and drink orders, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments while escorting guests to tables and setting up or clearing them. Ensure patrons meet minimum age requirements for alcohol by checking identification and comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and certification rules including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers. Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus and specials, operate the P.O.S. system, and carry out cashiering functions for closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork. Clear and reset tables as needed, keep side stands stocked and tidy, and perform opening, closing, and station rotation duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Food Handlers certification
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field
