Job Summary
Greet, serve, and engage with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner while taking and delivering food, beverage, and room service orders accurately. Process orders, close checks, and complete end-of-shift paperwork using the POS system, then handle cashiering functions to collect payments. Maintain knowledge of menus and daily specials, upsell items to enhance the guest experience, and pre-bus tables to keep service areas clean and stocked. Answer phones professionally and handle inquiries efficiently while performing opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned. Operate in a fast-paced restaurant, lounge, and room service environment with flexible hours, standing for entire shifts and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with guests, team members, and management
- Active listening and problem-solving abilities to address and resolve guest or employee concerns
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to anticipate guest and operational needs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness, efficiency, and productivity
- Ability to apply and understand information, policies, and procedures to achieve operational goals
- Flexibility to cross-train in other areas of hotel operations as needed
- Professional appearance and grooming in compliance with company standards, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag
- Consistent attendance and punctuality aligned with business needs
- Flexible and long hours are sometimes required
- Medium work-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand during the entire shift
- Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of beverages
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
