Job Summary
SEO Manager sits at the intersection of content strategy and product visibility, responsible for improving organic visibility and revenue across traditional and AI search. Works with content, trading, product, and performance teams to translate performance data into actionable recommendations that connect to business outcomes. Manages localised keyword research, optimises category/product pages, aligns with copywriters/compliance, collaborates with PR and agencies for link strategies, supports DTC campaigns, and stays current with algorithm updates and GEO/AI visibility best practices. Focus areas include localised UK SEO, on-page optimization, content roadmap ownership, cannibalisation mitigation, performance reporting against KPIs, and evolving SEO with AI-driven content and features.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on SEO experience in an ecommerce or content-led environment
- In-depth knowledge of content SEO best practices
- Confident use of Google Search Console & SEMrush
- Strong understanding of on-page optimization and keyword research
- Familiarity with AEO practices: featured snippet targeting, People Also Ask, FAQ schemas
- Strong written communication skills - able to brief and edit content clearly
- Experience managing agency/vendor relationships
- Exposure to GEO principles and AI visibility monitoring tools
- Experience across large product catalogs or multi-category sites
- Awareness of how LLMs surface and cite content and curiosity to experiment in this space
