Job Summary
Contracted W2 SEO Analyst to support our Director of SEO across Blavity Inc. portfolio, responsible for conducting comprehensive keyword research, SEO analysis, and implementing optimization strategies to drive organic growth across multiple brands. Will partner with editorial and content marketing teams to optimize content for search visibility (meta descriptions, title tags, header structures, internal linking), perform competitive analyses to identify gaps and opportunities, track performance (organic traffic, rankings, CTR, engagement) and deliver weekly and monthly reports. Requires staying current with SEO best practices, including Google News optimization and Discover visibility, and managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Role reports to the Director of SEO and requires commitment to up to 15 hours per week; fully remote within the U.S.; hourly rate $40; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and align with Eastern Time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Data Science, or related field
- 2-4 years of hands-on SEO experience preferably in media/digital publishing/agency
- Experience with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
- Experience with CMS and editorial teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proven ability to improve organic search performance
