Job Summary
Hardware systems engineer for the Sentinel program responsible for designing and documenting hardware architecture, components, interfaces, and performance of the C2 system; conduct hardware Trade Studies and Analyses of Alternatives to finalize the C2 baseline; collaborate with Systems and Hardware Engineers applying Agile methodologies; coordinate with multiple engineering teams to resolve requirements and maturity of architecture; lead negotiations with Hardware stakeholders in Cybersecurity, Nuclear Safety, and Software Engineering; work in a role that may be hired at level 2 or 3 depending on qualifications; position located in Manhattan Beach, CA with a 9/80 schedule and relocation assistance potentially available; active DoD Secret clearance or higher required for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years of experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher at time of application
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval
- 1 year of MBSE concepts and tools (e.g., Cameo SysML/DoDAF)
- 1 year of multi-disciplinary engineering development including Software, Hardware, and Systems Engineering
- 1 year of internship/school or work experience showing SE process (V Model, integration levels)
- 1 year internship/school or work experience with requirements analysis and specification development
- 2 years of experience using IBM Rational DOORS to manage requirements
- 2 years of experience analyzing MBSE diagrams using Cameo (SysML/DoDAF)
- 2 years of experience with Agile execution principles and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
- Experience applying military/DoD and ASME standards to product design
- Previous experience as Scrum Master or Product Owner (preferred)
- Knowledge of hardware architecture trade studies and design specifications
