Job Summary

Lead a growing team of structural analysis engineers, managing tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with individual contributors in Roy, UT. Spend 80% of time directing structural analysis work for metals, composites, and mechanical systems, including damage tolerance, durability, and thermal analysis. Dedicate 20% of time to recruiting, staffing, and conducting weekly team meetings and performance reviews. Utilize CATIA, IDEAS, and ProEngineer to develop engineering specifications and support the Sentinel program. Operate under a 9/80 schedule with a Secret clearance and SAP eligibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 8 years of experience
  • Master's degree with 6 years of experience
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
  • Demonstrated excellence in the field of structural analysis
  • Experience in a technical leadership/management role
  • Experience in writing and presenting technical content
  • In depth familiarity with Abaqus, Ansys or Nastran
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MS) in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Professional Engineer's License
  • Master's degree in Business
  • In depth familiarity with the majority of the following: Ansys, Abaqus, FEMAP, Nastran, LS-DYNA, MathCad, Matlab
  • Strong experience leading teams and training others
  • Experience with individual contributor performance assessments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate independently with limited to no supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers
  • Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans
  • Exposure to structural test applications
  • Experience with seismic analysis (ASCE 7)
  • Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion
  • TeamCenter CPLM experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers to ensure project success
  • Experience in performing in an Agile environment and knowledge/understanding of JIRA
