Job Summary
Lead the AVE RIA team of 5-10 systems engineers by driving technical rigor into requirements, interfaces, and architecture work products. Provide guidance on interface definition, requirement decomposition, and compliance tracking while overseeing the Requirements Verification Plan and verification execution artifacts. Manage the approval process for verification reports and support TMRR execution, including Preliminary Design Review, Milestone B re-certification, and Critical Design Review. Collaborate across system functions to ensure architecture consistency with requirements and communicate effectively with upper management and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
- 12 years of experience (with Bachelor's degree)
- Master's degree with 10 years of experience
- PhD with 8 years of experience
- US Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
- 5 years of Systems Engineering experience
- 2 or more years of leading a team
- 2 or more years of experience in the full life cycle of Systems Engineering (requirements definition/decomposition, requirements/system verification, etc.)
- 2 or more years of experience with requirements development, MBSE and/or verification planning
- Experience in requirements development on Sentinel program
- Experience running trade studies and negotiating requirements and/or design features with the USAF customer
- Experience with complex system development on large programs
- Experience in being a CAM/WPL and tracking EVMS
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Technical leadership experience in Systems Engineering
- Experience with Engineering Board Processes
- Experience with Critical Design Review planning and/or execution
- Active TS clearance
