Job Summary
Integrate across Flight Analysis, Targeting, Structures, and Aero/Fluids teams to coordinate cross-disciplinary activities and analysis. Lead horizontal integration efforts within AVE Systems Engineering & Integration and across other IPTs including Guidance and Payloads. Present difficult concepts to management and drive integrated initiatives to achieve project closure. Work on the Sentinel program supporting Air Force ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems sustainment and development. Present difficult concepts to management and lead integrated efforts to get results across the finish line. This role is part of the AVE MS&A Horizontal Integration team within Northrop Grumman Defense Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
- 6 years with a Master's
- 4 years with a PhD
- 1 year of technical experiences in mechanical/aerospace product development
- 1 year of experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
Desired Qualifications
- Self-starter with strong technical problem-solving skills
- An aptitude for coordination across diverse teams to drive efforts to closure
- Broad technical experiences in mechanical/aerospace engineering of missiles/launch vehicles
- Experience in systems engineering principles including requirements development, decomposition and allocation
- MBSE (CAMEO or similar)
- Experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) verification and validation (MIL-STD 3022)
- Experience with physical testing, instrumentation, Design of Experiments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
