Job Summary
Sr Principal Metals & Corrosion Material Process Engineer responsible for corrosion management across weapon-system design, developing/maintaining CPCPs, PPSLs, and PAMPLs for design teams and major sub-suppliers; performs issue tracking and risk mitigation for corrosion; demonstrates broad application of technical principles in service life estimation, materials/metallurgy, and systems engineering; works independently to deliver innovative technical solutions, create roadmaps and reports, reviews technical data, and supports Hexavalent Chromium prevention; coordinates with integrated product teams, presents to stakeholders and customers, and adheres to Systems Engineering processes; the role requires self-motivation, collaboration with engineers and external customers, and the ability to operate within a 9/80 schedule; candidate will need to obtain/maintain required security clearances and hold a US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering or related STEM field
- 8 years of relevant experience
- US Citizenship
- ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
