Job Summary
Sentinel program role focusing on modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) to support accuracy modeling for Sentinel across multiple campuses. Responsibilities include identifying critical system requirements, evaluating solutions, implementing process improvements, integrating diverse tools, managing large data, and performing post-flight estimation and validation of accuracy models. The candidate will prepare Sentinel accuracy reports and present studies to leadership and U.S. Government customers, with heavy emphasis on physics-based predictive modeling, maturation of accuracy error models, and V&V of these models. The position requires a STEM degree, experience with C++, Matlab, and Python, and the ability to work independently and across multidisciplinary teams, with travel and security-clearance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship with active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university
- 5 years of experience with Bachelor's, 3 years with Master's, 1 year with PhD (Principal); 8 years with Bachelor's, 6 with Master's, 4 with PhD (Sr Principal)
- Electrical Engineering background with 4+ years of related experience
- Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, Python (5, 3, and 3 years respectively)
- Experience with physics-based mathematical modeling and simulation
- Experience with validation and verification of models
- Ability to present projects to leadership and customers
- Ability to work across IPT boundaries
- Desire to work on modeling product support analyses and large data management
- Clearance-related requirements including U.S. Citizenship
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
