Job Summary
Principal Manufacturing Engineer for the Sentinel program based in Roy, Utah. The role supports production, tooling strategies, and process improvements in a cross-functional manufacturing environment, with responsibilities including Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, total quality management, and establishing procedural documentation. The candidate will facilitate teams, provide training, and interact with internal and external customers; requires experience with manufacturing engineering releases, material procurement documentation, and tool suites (MES, Rose, CPLM, NX). Eligibility includes US citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance with SAP eligibility; relocation assistance and a 9/80 work schedule may apply. Travel up to 10% is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or Masters with 3 years; PhD with 1 year of relevant experience or an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of formal degree
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within last 6 years and ability to obtain SAP approval
- US Citizenship
- Experience authoring/peer reviewing comprehensive and detailed work instructions
- Understanding & knowledge of engineering releases & supporting documentation needed for material procurement
- Proficiency with MES, Rose, CPLM, NX, and other related tool suites for manufacturing engineering
- Experience in Model Based Manufacturing digital environment
- Strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel 10% and relocate if required
