Job Summary
Design mechanical systems and mechanisms for Sentinel (GBSD) launch equipment, developing CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX and Team Center. Conduct stress and dynamic analysis, verify specifications through simulation and test data, and prepare design documents for customer interface. Manage the systems lifecycle from fabrication to maintenance while collaborating with users and customers to deliver high-performance solutions. Work a 9/80 schedule in Roy, UT, requiring a Secret clearance and SAP approval.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- active Secret Security Clearance at time of application
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
- 2 years of experience with CAD modeling
- 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering that includes a background in mechanical systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
- 2 years of relevant experience (for Engineer level)
- 5 years of relevant experience (for Principal level)
- Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience (alternative path for Principal level)
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision

Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with common engineering standards (ISO, ASME, Mil Spec, NAS, etc.)
- Knowledge of GD&T, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with Team Center (CPLM) and the Product Definition Package (PDP) release process
- Experience with the ASME Y14.X suite of engineering drawing standards
- Experience with requirements management and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles
- Experience with ICBMs or launch equipment systems
- Experience performing dynamic and static analysis (NX Motion or ANSYS preferred)
- Proficiency in DOORS, CAMEO, Jira and Confluence
- Siemens NX preferred
