Job Summary

Design, develop, and deploy mechanical/aerospace products for aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, and missiles, including the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Create CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX and Team Center, then verify specifications through simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis. Conduct preliminary sizing and stress/dynamic analysis of aerospace structures while preparing reports, briefings, and design documents for customer interface. Manage the systems lifecycle from fabrication to maintenance, ensuring compliance with common engineering standards and requirements management principles. This role supports the Air Force's sustainment and deployment of ICBM launch control systems at Roy, UT, requiring a Secret clearance and 9/80 work schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (awarded or renewed in the last 6 years), with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering that includes a background in mechanical systems (mechanisms preferred)
  • Experience with common engineering standards (ISO, ASME, Mil Spec, NAS, etc.)
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Knowledge of GD&T, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with Team Center (CPLM) and the Product Definition Package (PDP) release process
  • Experience with the ASME Y14.X suite of engineering drawing standards
  • Experience with requirements management and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles
  • Experience with ICBMs or launch equipment systems
  • Experience performing dynamic and static analysis (NX Motion or ANSYS preferred)
  • Proficiency in DOORS, CAMEO, Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills when conveying technical content
