Job Summary
Oversee and manage the manufacturing and operational aspects of multiple production and prototyping activities at the Ogden Manufacturing Facility, ensuring employee safety and delivering quality products on time and within cost targets. Manage shop floor processes including FOD/FOE control, 5S, and material flow while presenting status on cost, schedule, and performance for all projects. Assess issues and develop mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals, providing the people, skills, and processes for successful achievement of program and division goals. Work within a 9/80 schedule with a standard nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and every other Friday off.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience
- master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience
- 4 years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing
- 1+ years of experience leading manufacturing, production, or manufacturing integration
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security level clearance pre-start
- ability to obtain a final Secret Security level clearance post-start
- Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
- 9/80 schedule
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience managing or leading people or projects
- Experience leading manufacturing/production/integration & test teams in a production environment
- A proven track record of developing and implementing strategies for change
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Manufacturing, Program, Engineering, Functional Support Management, and Professionals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Prior experience operating in a dynamic environment of increasing production schedules and high delivery rates
- Aerospace / ICBM Industry Experience
- Prior experience it program start-up
- Experience working with Systems Applications and Products (SAP)
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Management Plan requirements and transitioning to production
- Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnel
- Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
- Ability to effectively work within a team environment
- Active DoD Secret clearance and applicable SAP accesses
