Job Summary
Lead end-to-end sourcing for a rapidly growing defense portfolio, developing category roadmaps, and negotiating long-term agreements and IDIQs to drive cost savings and supplier performance. Ensure compliance with DFARS, ITAR, FAR, and other defense regulations throughout the sourcing lifecycle. Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance, legal, and program management to align sourcing decisions with schedules and budgets; manage cross-functional teams and drive initiatives (lean/six-sigma) to improve cycle times. Positions may include relocation considerations; travel up to 50% is required. Primary scope includes managing domestic and international supplier relationships, Make/Buy/Where strategy, and ensuring a resilient supply base while achieving target cost reductions.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field; 8 years of supplier mission assurance, manufacturing/industrial engineering, supply chain, procurement, program management, or related experience; 6 years with a Master’s degree; or 12 years with a High School Diploma (or equivalent) accepted in lieu of a degree
- 5 years of progressive procurement/sourcing experience
- At least 3 years in a global defense or aerospace environment
- Demonstrated oversight of $25 million+ spend and coordination of cross-functional teams
- Experience with DFARS, ITAR, FAR, GSA, and Defense Contracting Procedures
- Experience developing and tracking multi-year cost-saving targets
- Experience negotiating complex, high-value agreements (including IDIQ, indefinite-delivery, and teaming agreements)
- Experience with SAP or equivalent tools; Excel and data-analytics
- Ability to travel to multiple supplier locations (up to 50%)
