Job Summary

Lead technical teams and manage engineering resources for Sentinel (GBSD) program integration activities, including test planning, problem identification, and event execution. Drive systems-level integration by developing requirement specifications, interface definition documents, and verifying validation plans while reporting status metrics to Program Managers and customers. Provide functional management for personnel ranging from T01 through T05, offering guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight to ensure cost, schedule, and technical objectives are met. Coordinate with external stakeholders, NGC teams, and suppliers to resolve technical gaps and identify risks associated with systems-of-systems interoperability. Work within a 9/80 schedule in Roy, UT, or Huntsville, AL, requiring US citizenship and Secret clearance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • 6 years with a Masters
  • 2+ years experience on large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience or CAM training
  • Experience working with external customers to meet program expectations
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and to meet program commitments in a highly concurrent, dynamic and fast-paced engineering environment
  • Active Top-Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Customer-focused mindset with proven leadership skills and excellent communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience with managing/scheduling complex technical efforts
  • Experience with Systems Engineering program milestone events (e.g., PDR, CDR)
  • 1+ year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against technical, cost, and schedule milestones
  • Experience collaborating with multiple functional groups, subcontracts, and government customer representatives
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior management, peers, and employees
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Prior experience leading 10+ person teams
  • Formal management experience to include performance reviews for direct reports
  • Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems-of-systems
  • Experience with Agile, Confluence, and Jira
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience executing and boarding Risks, Issues & Opportunities
  • 4+ years experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and experiences presenting to both internal and customer audiences
