Job Summary
Execute Sentinel Launch Infrastructure priorities for the Launch Systems Business Unit, ensuring adherence to sound engineering processes across development, verification, production, and sustainment. Maintain an achievable technical baseline balancing performance, cost, and schedule while supporting Program Management Team meetings including Technical Review Board and Configuration Control Board. Resolve cross-team disconnects to ensure design decisions meet system performance and champion long-term strategic technical objectives within the SDS division. Work horizontally to align engineering standards with customer expectations and partner technical interchange requirements.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years
- Experience formally leading engineering teams and/or organizations
- Demonstrated performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for an engineering development project or systems integration project
- Advanced knowledge within a single engineering discipline and experience across disciplines
- Strong understanding and application of complex engineering tools and processes (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
- T06: 14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 10 Years with PhD
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the management and delivery of Construction (MILCON preferred) projects
- Experience across the development lifecycle from concept through verification, production, operations, support and retirement
- Design Engineering/Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience
- ICBM or complex system of systems experience
- Experience in managing customer and/or supplier relationships
- Prior experience interfacing with USAF leadership personnel
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient manner
