Job Summary
Lab Operations Manager 2 for the Sentinel CSIL program located in Roy, Utah, responsible for managing the design, development, and implementation of new lab capabilities and the planning, operations, and maintenance of the Sentinel Command and Launch Systems Integration Lab. Leads a team of Test Directors, System Administrators, and Technicians; drives lab architecture solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints; oversees lab stand-up, testing, budgets, compliance, and integration of hardware/software units; coordinates with support homerooms, ensures staffing, and manages lab capital projects and long-range planning; ensures cybersecurity and lab access compliance, and collaborates with stakeholders to align lab requirements with product/test team needs. Functional management duties include performance management, professional development, time charging, and conflict resolution. Requires a Bachelor’s degree with significant related experience (or Master’s with fewer years) and active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP and Top Secret clearances. Offers relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package; standard work schedule is 9/80.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 8 years of related experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience OR additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Experience in Systems Integration Lab design, development and operations including lab network administration and test planning/execution
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- Experience leading a project or driving performance against a schedule
- Experience integrating hardware and software components in a lab/ground test environment
- Familiarity with lab electrical/network designs
- DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (nice-to-have)
- U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret security clearance (investigated within past 5 years) (nice-to-have)
- Prior management experience (nice-to-have)
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering, test and lab operations principles
- Experience in AGILE environments (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering with DODAF/SysML (nice-to-have)
- Experience in Test automation (development and execution) (nice-to-have)
- Instrumentation and data acquisition knowledge (nice-to-have)
