Job Summary
Lead Northrop Grumman's community presence in planned Sentinel program workforce hub locations and surrounding areas by maintaining strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, workforce development groups, and small businesses. Coordinate with Sentinel program executives to be fully informed about program issues and provide feedback and make recommendations regarding community engagements and workforce development. Synthesize complex information to communicate clearly with audiences of all sizes while managing multiple ongoing projects simultaneously. Anticipate community concerns and work internally to make recommendations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for designated communities within the Corporate Legislative Affairs organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (for example, public policy, economic development, communications)
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience
- Appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful engagement plans
- Proven self-starter who works effectively both individually and as part of a team
- Proficient with office software and applications
- Ability to anticipate community concerns and to work internally to make recommendations
- Demonstrated experience interacting with community leaders and company executives
- Strong judgment/decision-making skills and political acumen
- U.S. Citizenship

- Experience in local economic development and/or workforce development at the state or local level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving, organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of integrity, and a hands-on approach to problem solving
