Job Summary
Lead the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (Missile) Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Fluids team to deliver on all contractual requirements for cost, schedule, and technical quality. Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineers while managing technical scope planning, risk management, and project performance. Apply extensive aero/fluids knowledge to develop solutions for complex aerodynamic problems, specifically focusing on 6-DOF simulations and downstream analysis products. Collaborate closely with disciplines including Flight Analysis, Structures, Propulsion, and Integration to support SDS programs. Communicate technical approaches and findings to customers, executive management, and program stakeholders. Manage team performance and career development while maintaining a 9/80 work schedule.

- Bachelor's Degree in STEM
- 8 years of related experience
- Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience
- Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements
- 2 years of experience developing aerodynamic models, tools, databases using Matlab, Python, C++ or similar for integration into 6DOF simulations
- 2 years of experience with commercial CFD codes such as CFD++, StarCCM+, or ANSYS Fluent
- Demonstrated technical writing experience in both authoring and reviewing formal analysis documentation
- Strong ability to verbally communicate technical content to senior engineering leadership
- 9/80 schedule

Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline
- 1 year experience with analytical aerodynamic design tools, e.g. Missile DATCOM or similar
- Demonstrated experience in Program Execution, Staffing, Engineering Metrics and Training resources, Processes, and Tools
- Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations
- Demonstrated experience working with customers and senior leadership to ensure project success
- 3+ years of experience developing aerodynamic models, tools, databases using Matlab, Python, C++ for integration into 6DOF simulations
- 3+ years of experience with commercial CFD codes such as CFD++, StarCCM+, or ANSYS Fluent
- Demonstrated experience working with Linux and Windows based HPC's for aero/fluids work
- Involvement with the planning and execution of physical aerodynamics related testing applications such as wind tunnels or flight test validation
- Demonstrated experience leading a team through an EMD program in compliance of program requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with high value customer presentations
- Ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
- Experience in performing in an Agile environment
- Knowledge/understanding of JIRA
