Job Summary
Assist physicians, advanced practitioners, or nurses in implementing plans of care for emergency and minor emergency care patients by performing patient procedures and treatments under supervision. Complete de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Work full-time days 7A-7P at Sentara BelleHarbour, a state-of-the-art outpatient medical center serving the North Suffolk community.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire
- Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School
- Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program
- Prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years

- One year previous healthcare experience
