Job Summary
Sensory Expert responsible for the design, execution, and continuous development of sensory programs in close collaboration with R&D/NPD, Ingredient Portfolio, and Flavor & Applications teams. Conduct sensory evaluation of ingredients and products, define flavor profiles, and actively contribute to application and flavor evaluations. Maintain and further develop sensory data, descriptors, lexicons, and flavor libraries across teams and regions. Analyze, interpret, and communicate sensory results to stakeholders, with ongoing expansion of flavor and category expertise. Requires a completed university degree in Food Science or Nutritional Science and several years of industry experience with a strong focus on sensory evaluation, plus excellent English skills; SAP knowledge is advantageous. The role emphasizes independent, structured work, strong organizational skills, and robust project management in virtual and cross-functional settings.
Required Qualifications
- Completed university degree in Food Science, Nutritional Science, or a comparable field
- Several years of industry experience in the food, flavor, or fragrance environment with a strong focus on sensory evaluation
- Experience in conducting sensory tests
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- Very good MS Office skills; SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Independent, structured, and accurate working style with strong organizational skills
- Strong project management skills, particularly in virtual and cross-functional projects
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus
