Sensor Hardware Engineer to develop sensor systems for autonomous trucking; responsibilities include selecting/optimizing lidar/radar/camera/ultrasonic sensors, analyzing on-road data, hands-on sensor testing, defining sensor field of view requirements, collaborating with contract manufacturers and suppliers, travel to field locations, and leading project efforts. Requires BS or MS in Physics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field with about 5 years of experience in automotive/aerospace or related industries; experience defining autonomous-driving sensing systems, data analysis, and strong communication; hands-on and manufacturing-process familiarity; willingness to travel (<15%).
