Job Summary

Develop test methods and procedures aligned with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards to assess sensor and actuator reliability and accuracy. Design protective storage solutions and handling/installation procedures to preserve device integrity while executing non-destructive evaluation methods to quantify accuracy and service worthiness. Partner with Data Analysis and PLM teams to correlate device usage with reliability outcomes and establish mileage/service limits. Execute assurance testing, document results, and produce statistical reports on fleet condition and trends. Engage suppliers on performance issues, fault resolution, and supply chain concerns as needed. This role supports both laboratory and Formula 1 track operations, ensuring devices meet performance and safety requirements throughout their lifecycle. You will work onsite in Concord, NC, with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of experience in motorsport or high-performance environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with electronics in a motorsport's or high performance environment
  • Proven experience managing and maintaining mission-critical devices
  • Strong understanding of the physics and operating principles of sensors and actuators
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and statistical analysis tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional motorsports experience (OEM, supplier, or race team)
  • Highly detail-oriented and methodical; recognizes that calibration errors directly impact on-track performance and reliability
  • Effective communicator across engineering groups and external partners
  • Ability to work outside standard hours to support dyno test schedules and trackside events
  • Familiarity with Motion Applied ATLAS and System Monitor
