Job Summary
Deliver evidence-based life skills and prevention programs in school and community settings to educate youth on healthy choices. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for at-risk youth while partnering with families, schools, and social workers to build comprehensive support systems. Maintain a caseload of 35-40 clients, adhere to strict confidentiality regulations including 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and FERPA, and ensure 85% completion of work-plan deliverables. Prepare progress reports, program dashboards, and quarterly newsletters to track intervention activities. Expand access to OUD/SUD prevention services across schools, shelters, and high-need sites through targeted outreach and recruitment.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of related prevention work experience within either a drug treatment setting, a mental health setting, an educational setting, or community service setting
- Meets physical and cognitive requirements needed to complete assigned tasks and duties of the position with reasonable accommodations being made for individuals with disabilities
- Ability to travel within the five boroughs of New York City via public transportation
- Bachelor Degree required (Sociology, Psychology, Education or related field) with 1+ years of related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) or Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPS) a plus
