Job Summary
Senior Writer leads the development of high-quality, compelling proposals to drive competitive wins and expand our national hospitality and recreation contract portfolio. Owns the creation of proposal content, conducts in-depth research, partners with internal teams to develop strategies and differentiators, and ensures materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand guidelines. Responsible for translating complex data and operational information into persuasive, client-focused narratives; manages timelines, and collaborates with senior stakeholders to refine content. Requires extensive writing and editing experience, exceptional communication, strong project management, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Education and experience emphasize a Bachelor's degree or higher and ten years of experience in writing, editing, and proofreading long-form or technical material, with a preference for proposal or grant-writing background and proficiency with AI-assisted writing tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, Public Affairs, Public Administration or related field from accredited institution
- Ten (10) years of experience writing, editing, and proofreading long-form or technical content
- Experience writing, editing, and proofreading proposals or grants preferred
- Experience using AI tools to assist in the creative writing process
- Strong research capabilities and ability to translate data into compelling content
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple proposal assignments and deadlines
- Knowledge of confidentiality and handling of proprietary information
