Job Summary
Senior World Language Curriculum Editor responsible for developing, editing, and maintaining language curricula for High School Summer Abroad programs, managing freelance editors, localizing materials across languages (Spanish, French, Italian, German), ensuring standards-alignment and accessibility, training instructors, and contributing to program evaluation and pedagogical strategy. Travel 2–3 times per year; work with instructors and international staff to deliver high-quality curriculum materials and resources across multiple languages and locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in applied linguistics, second language acquisition, curriculum and instruction, world language education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of editorial experience as a senior editor in educational publishing and curriculum development.
- Professional fluency in Spanish; proficiency in additional languages, such as French, Italian, or German, is a plus.
- Experience managing freelancers, external contributors, or cross-functional collaborators.
- Expertise in world language standards (ACTFL), and experience developing scope and sequence documents and standards-aligned lessons.
