Senior Workplace IT Specialist

Job Summary
Build one-touch employee lifecycle automation for onboarding and offboarding, engineer zero-touch device provisioning with Windows Autopilot and Intune, and automate routine IT operations using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and REST APIs. Apply software engineering practices to IT by version-controlling scripts in Git, conducting code reviews, and shifting configuration toward code-as-code. Administer Microsoft 365 services, Entra ID, and Azure resources while managing the Windows and macOS fleet with Intune, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, and fleet health dashboards. Provide Level 2/3 escalation support for complex issues across endpoints and Microsoft 365 with a bias toward permanent, engineered fixes.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years in IT engineering, end-user computing, modern workplace, or IT infrastructure roles
- An engineering mindset: defaulting to automating problems away rather than resolving them manually
- Ability to show automation personally built and shipped
- Strong PowerShell skills
- Microsoft Graph API skills
- Hands-on administration of Microsoft Entra ID
- Azure administration skills
- Deep Microsoft 365 administration experience
- Modern endpoint management expertise
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Experience with hybrid identity environments
- Solid networking fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer empathy
- Ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders

- Power Platform experience (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Understanding of governance and when low-code vs pro-code is appropriate
- Python or another general-purpose scripting language
- Comfort working with REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude)
- Experience helping roll AI tooling out to employees
- Experience with virtualization platforms
- Experience with cloud services beyond M365
