Job Summary
Produce electrical wiring drawings, single-line, relay, and metering diagrams, and review vendor drawings for power plant electrical system designs. Assist engineers with initial design requirements and conceptualize plans to convey wiring termination details. Accompany teams on field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities while interfacing with multi-disciplinary engineering groups. Work within a project team environment under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, utilizing Bentley Raceway & Cable Management and Microstation/AutoCAD.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- Experience in Bentley Raceway & Cable Management (BRCM) software
- 10 or more years of detailed wiring design experience in the development of single-line, and relay and metering diagrams, including medium0voltage and 480V systems
- Familiarity with digital control systems
- Extensive Microstation and/or AutoCAD design experience on power plants or large facility projects
- A thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theories
- The ability to interface and communicate with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related degree
