Job Summary
Senior Wine Educator responsible for delivering engaging wine education experiences and immersive private tours in a luxury Napa setting. Lead educational sessions, provide personalized wine recommendations, mentor junior staff, and design internal training to enhance product knowledge and wine sales acumen. Represent the winery at trade shows and events, cultivate relationships with wine club members and industry partners, and drive sales through education-focused presentations that highlight heritage and craftsmanship. Requires 3+ years in wine education/hospitality, advanced wine education certification, strong public speaking, knowledge of wine production and food pairings, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed. Familiarity with digital education tools or social media marketing for wine education is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in wine education, hospitality, or a related role within the wine industry
- Experience in luxury hospitality or high-end wine brands
- Advanced certification from a recognized wine education institution (e.g., WSET Level 3 or Diploma, CMS Certified Sommelier, or similar)
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to adapt to various audience types
- In-depth knowledge of wine production, viticulture, varietals, and food pairings
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for events and educational programs
