Job Summary
Senior Windows System Administrator responsible for owning the Windows Server environment for a government client in Arlington, VA. Serve as the SME for Windows infrastructure, drive technical strategy and architecture decisions, and ensure healthy, high-performance, secure systems. Design, implement, and sustain enterprise Windows infrastructure; monitor health and availability; lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; enforce enterprise standards, baselines, and hardening aligned with security frameworks and compliance. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to system administrators and engineers, guide best practices across Windows technologies, and manage system lifecycle activities including patching, upgrades, migrations, and modernization. Maintain cross-platform support with basic Linux administration and coordination with Linux SMEs.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 8+years of relevant experience
- IAT II Certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
- Strong experience administering Windows Server environments
- Deep understanding of core Windows services and system management
- Working knowledge of Linux systems
