Job Summary
Guide team members through design and implementation while solving client problems and interpreting customer requirements. Troubleshoot, test, and maintain existing software applications, providing technical assistance and product education to clients. Liaise with other technical experts and contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle, including assessing, creating custom features, and deploying proof-of-concept projects. This role supports implementation assistance around addressing client needs with current features and products, as well as developing solutions that meet specific client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field
- Software development experience in PHP or similar language (10+ years)
- Expert knowledge of object oriented programming
- Expert knowledge of relational databases, such as MySQL
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong understanding of version control tools, such as Subversion or Git
- Consultative skills in order to understand the technical needs of the client, the ability to determine any problems or unmet needs the client may face and an aptitude for solving complex problems
- Ability to communicate professionally in written responses with extreme detail to customer requirements in support of solution development and delivery
- This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week
Desired Qualifications
- Linux command line and server management experience is a plus
- Agile/Scrum experience is a plus
