Job Summary
Senior Web Designer leads the creation of modern, accessible UI for websites and applications, mentors junior designers, crafts scalable design systems, ensures WCAG/Section 508 compliance, and collaborates across teams from discovery to client delivery; responsibilities include delivering wireframes, mockups, polished UI, guiding UX strategy, and training clients on CMS usage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience designing responsive, accessible web interfaces
- Strong portfolio of website and UI/UX design work
- Deep understanding of accessibility guidelines and web standards (Section 508, WCAG)
- Proficient in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience with CMS platforms from design and content perspective
- Strong client communication and ability to present design decisions
- Mentoring or leading other team members
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
