Job Summary
Senior Web Back End Developer for Azurion Eye within the AI Operator domain. You’ll build REST-based, microservice-first backend services and data curation workflows powering a clinical data lake and data movement tooling. Responsibilities include designing secure, compliant backend services and pipelines, ensuring performance, governance, and reliability of imaging workflows, code reviews, performance optimization, testing automation, CI/CD, and observability. You’ll mentor engineers, drive engineering best practices, collaborate with product/UX/QA/data/AI teams, and contribute to scalable, maintainable systems in a regulated healthcare environment. The role requires leadership in design and implementation, and hands-on development with Go, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, containerized microservices, and database tuning, with in-person collaboration at least 3 days/week at the Best, Netherlands office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of end-to-end software development experience
- Strong backend expertise in Golang and REST API design (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Experience with event-driven architectures (NATS/Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Linux environments and containerized microservices (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Solid database design and performance tuning (PostgreSQL/MS SQL)
- Familiarity with cloud-native and DevOps practices
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
- Regulated/medical environment experience a plus
