Job Summary
Coordinate communications between Baxter & Woodman, clients, and contractors for capital improvement programs, while administering water/wastewater start-ups after construction. Complete operational reviews of water/wastewater plans during design, visit facilities for troubleshooting, and act as Responsible Operator in Charge for treatment plants. Ensure regulatory compliance by submitting DMRs to IEPA, directing operators and laborers, and preparing permits for municipal projects. Review development plans for stormwater, grading, and sewer compliance, consult on structural and electrical issues, and prepare written review reports for village staff and developers. Provide on-site staffing assistance to several clients and serve as part-time staff technicians where required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience operating in a water or wastewater treatment facility or related experience
- significant experience in a water/w wastewater operations and laboratory procedures
- knowledge of NPDES limits for wastewater quality and wastewater treatment facility regulations
- valid U.S. Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in an environmentally focused degree program
- Illinois IEPA Wastewater Treatment Operator's License
