Job Summary
The Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer will lead and support civil design efforts for projects related to water and wastewater systems, including pump stations and conveyance pipelines. The candidate will utilize Autodesk software for 3D designs and collaborate closely with multi-discipline teams to achieve project goals. Responsibilities include project scope and budget development, technical leadership, quality review, field inspections, and client interactions. Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, a minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and a Professional Engineering license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in municipal and/or industrial civil design.
- Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or newer) software is required.
- A Professional Engineering license is required, plus the ability to obtain a license in additional states as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with local and area permitting agencies to obtain site and stormwater permits for industrial/municipal site development.
- Experience with ProjectWise, BIM 360, and Bluebeam.
- Experience with Navisworks 2013 (or newer) software.
- Experience coordinating with staff performing Civil 3D.
- Experience using engineering calculation software (e.g. MathCAD).
- Experience using hydrology and hydraulic calculations/modeling software (e.g. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Hydraflow Storm Sewers).
- Field/construction experience.
- GIS experience.
