Job Summary
Lead planning, design, and execution of municipal water and wastewater projects, including developing engineering plans, specifications, and bid packages. Review shop drawings, oversee construction close-out, and perform hydraulic modeling for water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers while coordinating with clients to ensure project success and identify new opportunities. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and permitting processes. This salaried, in-office role in Baton Rouge, LA requires a PE license and 8+ years of experience in municipal systems, with limited travel for site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or ability to obtain licensure
- 8+ years of experience in municipal water and wastewater projects
- Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish
- Strong understanding of closed pipe network hydraulics and water/wastewater systems
- Experience with utility relocation design
- Ability to work in an office setting with occasional site visits
- This is a salaried, in-office position based in Baton Rouge, LA
Desired Qualifications
- Some experience with CADD is a plus
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
