Senior Water Resources Engineer

Job Summary
Provide senior technical input for water resource management projects, leading hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for urban infrastructure, storm sewer networks, and culverts using software like PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, and HEC-RAS. Direct and supervise engineering design groups, coordinating cross-disciplinary data to interpret simulations, assess system capacity, and develop conceptual and detailed designs for stormwater management infrastructure. Manage project planning, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents while mentoring junior staff through technical direction and coaching. Contribute to business development by preparing project proposals and engaging with clients to identify strategic opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering or applicable technical degree
- Eligible to hold valid a license from the relevant provincial Professional Engineering Association
- 10+ years' relevant experience in a consulting environment on water resources engineering projects
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency with water resources tools, such as Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM, and HEC-RAS
- Strong understanding of municipal and provincial drainage design standards
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- A self-motivated individual looking for advancement opportunities
- Excellent initiative and attention to detail
- Mandatory experience in a range of water resources related projects, including urban drainage systems, hydrotechnical engineering, and stormwater management
- Experience with analysis, infrastructure design and construction administration
- Experience in water resources and civil engineering projects in Ontario

- Proficiency with the application of PCSWMM (1D & 2D), HEC-RAS/HMS, InfoWorks ICM and related computer models
