Senior Water Conveyance Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead technical efforts for pipeline rehabilitation and design, including new installations, failure forensics, and condition assessments. Interface with clients and regulatory agencies while collaborating on design plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with standards and assess remaining useful life for renewal treatments. Provide technical guidance to project teams, perform quality reviews, and prepare engineering proposals and fee estimates. Stay current on industry trends and regulations, disseminating insights to junior staff and participating in standards committees. Work across planning, design, and construction phases for water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure using open-cut and trenchless methods.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field
- 8 years of related experience
- demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Licensed PE
- 8 years of project experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater pipeline design, analysis, installation, and inspection
- 8 years of experience in Mathcad / MATLAB and FEA
- 8 years of experience working with pipeline design codes, standards, and regulations
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
- This position will require travel through the United States
- all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
Desired Qualifications
- Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Experience conducting Finite element analysis on buried structures and pipelines
- 12 years of project experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater pipeline design, analysis, installation, and inspection
- Master's Degree
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams
- Task Lead and Technical Lead on projects
- Strong communication skills in coordinating with internal team, clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies
