Job Summary
Build hydraulic models and perform verification of sewer networks, running integrated model development and supporting scoping and planning for flood alleviation and pollution reduction schemes. Develop catchment-scale strategic solutions, apply new technologies, and problem-solve for clients while preparing technical reports and presentations to communicate modelling findings. Mentor team members, foster positive client relationships, and act as a checker for hydraulic models and calculations to ensure compliance with specifications. This role supports a multidisciplinary Water Team delivering flood risk assessments and drainage strategies for major infrastructure providers across the UK and Ireland.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a similar subject
- Experience in Hydraulic Modelling GIS or Data Analysis, in particular ArcGIS or MapInfo
- Knowledge of Hydraulic Modelling or Asset management, in particular Innovyze ICM or InfoAsset
- Proven experience in water consultancy
- Self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required
- Strong sense of commitment
- Willingness to learn
- Desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment
- Must be able to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
