Job Summary
Lead advanced trade coordination efforts on complex new construction and renovation projects, including clash detection, issue tracking, and preparation of coordination reports. Manage Virtual Construction project setup and model administration, developing complex federated models in alignment with project controls. Independently produce and oversee advanced BIM/VDC deliverables, including trade composite drawings, overlay studies, and site logistics plans using company-standard tools. Establish and enforce project-specific QA/QC procedures to ensure model accuracy and adherence to standards. Collaborate with Field Engineering and Reality Capture teams to integrate data and evaluate coordination challenges to develop constructable solutions. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior staff while supporting cost management and advancing technology adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, or related field, or equivalent years of experience
- A minimum of three (3) years VDC experience
- Advanced proficiency across BIM industry software such as Autodesk Navisworks, Revit and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage federated models, clash detection, and coordination issue resolution
- Deep understanding of point cloud processing, analysis and incorporation into VDC efforts
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Strong communication skills with project teams and leadership
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience leading coordination efforts on active construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction documents, building systems, assemblies, phasing, trade coordination workflows
- Ability to interpret and validate shop drawings and submittals
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products and services
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance
- Accountable for own work and possibly others on the team
- Impacts own team, adjacent teams, and potentially across the company
- Decisions are made with minimal guidance and may affect the success of the department / revenue group
- Contributes to strategic market sector / department business development planning
- Serves as a lead for the team, leading small projects
- May have formal supervisory responsibilities
