Senior Video Producer (Contract)

Job Summary
Translate creative concepts into executable production plans while building comprehensive schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Manage end-to-end logistics including location scouting, permits, crew scheduling, equipment rentals, and call sheets. Oversee post-production timelines for editing, color, audio, and motion graphics, then reconcile project budgets upon completion. Lead production teams of freelancers, coordinate talent, and maintain financial accountability through frequent reporting to the Executive Producer. This contract role runs through February 2027 with up to 40% travel required. Based in Los Angeles, CA, you will work within a lean startup environment to make the seemingly impossible possible, often handling physical tasks like setting off squibs.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of production experience
- previous work experience as a Line Producer
- Production Manager experience
- 3 years as a Producer
- In-house production company / agency experience
- familiarity of best accounting practices
- budget handling
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to operate effectively within budget constraints
- established corporate processes
- Proficiency in industry standard budgeting software (i.e. Hotbudget, Showbiz, Moviemagic)
- Proficiency in Asana
- working knowledge of Adobe CC suite
- Working knowledge of professional filmmaking equipment
- camera systems
- Familiarity with local resources in the Los Angeles market
- familiarity with other resource options in national/ international markets
